Y A K I
YAKI is a talented local composer and the founder of Consortium, an organization he established in 2021. With the mission of supporting fellow composers and fostering a collaborative community throughout all creative disciplines, the annual event Culmination was born. Recognizing the need for more opportunities and events in the music scene, YAKI created Consortium to serve as a platform for composers to connect, share their work, and grow together. Through his dedication and vision, Consortium has become a vital resource in bringing together visual, musical, and spoken word to inspire new possibilities in the world of multimedia projects.

I like being able to help motivate our members to have a more positive, light- hearted mindset when it comes to writing, so that no one gets in their own way when trying to grow as a composer. I am the vice president and have been on the board for three years.
Luke Tackett
I am the Events Manager for Consortium (since fall 2024), so I plan the events that take place in the club, such as the holiday recital and Culmination, which is a collaborative event between musicians and artists. As a board member, it is nice to be able to have a more significant role with planning things for the club.
